Transaction Attorney

Transaction attorneys are registered lawyers who specialize in business law, with specialized skills in the reviewing, drafting, executing, administering and advising of business documents. Business documents could be regarding purchase or sales transactions, such as business acquisition or sale and deeds for real estate. Examples of other business documents are employment agreements, merger documents, or even transferring intellectual property or trademarks from one entity to another. In short, your Transaction Subject Matter Expert (lawyer) should be engaged for any type of transaction which affects an Ideal Client's comprehensive written lifetime financial plan.

  • 10+ years advising individuals and families that meet your Ideal Client Profile
  • 10+ years Demonstrated experience creating, reviewing and advising upon business transactions (along with all documents) for clients meeting your Ideal Client Profile
  • Highly skilled at advising and guiding clients towards a recommended optimal transaction strategy for each client's circumstances

  • Licensed attorney

 

Routine Activities

  • While there are no "routine" activities, depending upon circumstances, as Trusted Advisor, you may recommend regular meetings with a transaction attorney. Among them may be Ideal Client's who:
    • Are business owners
    • Frequently enter into:
      • Business ventures
      • Independent Contractor or consulting arrangements
      • Royalty agreements
    • Buy or sell investment real estate (including review of lease agreements)

 

Other Periodic Activities

  • For many Ideal Clients, interaction with a transaction attorney may only occur prior to major purchases or sales of assets, such as:

    • Purchase or sale of a home (or other property holdings)
    • Purchase or sale of vehicles (in excess of an amount set by the Trusted Advisor). For example, the Trusted Advisor may set the standard that any purchase in excess of $60,000 will be reviewed by your Transaction Attorney
    • Sale of a business venture
    • Reviews of employment agreements with household staff
